I just love the markings on this hosta. In the background are some Scotch Purses with starflowers and bleeding hearts mixed in. |
| These little starflowers (also called wood anemone) are just precious. They have the sweetest little candy-straiped flower. This is a bulb that naturalizes quickly. They cover a lot of the "bare" ground under my large evergreens. | ![]() |

Next time I'll take the picture with the sun behind me. Just another view of one of my fuchsia baskets. |
| Another view of my "Japanese" azalea and hostas. I have a few roses in this garden, but it's much too shady for them, and I'll be moving them as soon as I build a more appropriate bed for them. |

You can't tell it from here, but these blooms are about 5-6" across. I couldn't believe it. The only thing I ever bought from a certain mail order supply company that shall remain nameless that ever grew! |

OK, these aren't garden pictures. But, some of you wanted to see pictures of my cats, so I threw them in here as they were on the same disk with the garden pictures. This is Tessa sometimes lovingly called Moose. She's not as fat as she appears in the first picture, but she's a big cat. She likes to sleep on her back. What an absolute love. Since she normally likes to be off by herself sleeping on a chair somewhere, when she curls up next to you, you feel special. |

This is Bud. A Seattle cop found him sleeping in the middle of the road one night and brought him to me to care for until we could find the owner. We couldn't find the owner, so he has joined my husband in a losing battle to fend for themselves in a mostly-female household. I just love his markings and need to get a good picture of his ears to show you. The ears are black as night, but with a dusting of white hairs that really seem to float above the black. He loves my husband to pieces and tolerates me. I in turn try to give Bud lots of love in hopes that he will voluntarily sit on my lap someday. Given his propensity to pick inappropriate sleeping spots, he is not allowed outside. |
| Poor Fuzzy. She needs to have her eyes cleaned so that she doesn't look quite as much like a fight victim. Again, she's not as fat as she appears here. She's a full-blooded British Shorthair from championship lines. The flash didn't do her justice, but she's got one beautiful blue eye and one deep copper eye. Her father, Pickabob's Salem of Wonderbear, is a Master Grand Champion. Properly named Wonderbear's Ferbil, she is often called Fuzzy or Wuzzle and just loves to be petted and combed. Like most Brits, she's absolutely solid muscle. But she's a pacifist most of the time and tries to keep the peace when the other cats are being less that friendly to one another. Oh, and she loves to chase bubbles. |

And then there's sweet Liza. She's often called Boo Boo and has been with me for about 17 years now. I love her dearly and have told my husband in no uncertain terms that HE goes before she goes. She doesn't like to be held, but she can curl up next to me so closely that she almost shoves me off the bed. She often sits on the chair next to me while I work on the computer. Queen of the house, she doesn't take any sass from the other cats, but will avoid problems if she can. |
